Unimaginable

Sometimes it can be a bit eerie to learn about something you didn't know existed and in a moments time be so affected by it. Learning about the backlog of rape kits affected me this way. This is not a personal matter to me, but it about human decency. We shouldn't be ignorant because it doesn't pertain to us directly, we SHOULD be affected because no one in this situation deserves to be ignored as if it doesn't matter.

The police are there to protect and serve. Not testing rape kits is NOT protecting,
